Technology Requirements and Support
Basic Computer Requirements
Having regular access to a computer with a reliable Internet connection is required. You will need a word processing program capable of saving word formats such as .doc, .docx or .pdf.

RPCC IT Support
RPCC students requiring IT support should send an email containing their first name, last name, and a brief description of the issue to help@rpcc.edu to open a support ticket. Please provide the LoLA username or LoLA ID number if the issue relates to RPCC or LoLA account access.
Normal hours of operation for RPCC IT Services are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Emails, voicemails, and support tickets that arrive outside of normal operating hours will be replied to as soon as reasonably possible on the following business day.
RPCC IT Services personnel are often out of the office working on support tickets. The best way to contact them is via email. If you call them, please leave a message.
NOTE: It will be important to have an active RPCC email account.

Plug-ins and Helper Applications
There may be plug-ins and helper applications to download that support the Canvas environment and play multimedia such as:

- Apache Open Office for Microsoft Word Links to an external site.

Browser Support
While Chrome is the preferred browser for most Canvas interactions, Canvas supports the latest versions of every browser release. It's highly recommended that you update to the newest version of whatever browser you are using as well as the most up-to-date Flash plug-in.
